Affiliate disclosure

The short version

Today we earn nothing from anything on this site. We are not currently in any affiliate programme, so every “Buy” link takes you straight to the retailer’s own product page and no commission is paid to us.

That is expected to change. When we join a programme, clicking a “Buy” link and going on to purchase may pay us a small commission. You would pay the same price either way. Outbound links are already marked as sponsored links, as search engines require, so nothing about how they behave changes on the day we are paid for one.

What commission does not do

• It does not change the price you pay. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your total.
• It does not change how we rank retailers. Comparison tables are sorted by the effective price available to everyone, lowest first. A retailer paying a higher commission does not move up.
• It does not change our price verdicts. Whether we call a price “lowest ever” or “above average” is computed from price history we recorded ourselves.

Programmes we participate in

None, at the time of writing. We have applications in progress with affiliate networks covering Indian retailers, and we will name each one here on the day it is approved — not before. If this section still says “none”, nobody is paying us.

We would rather this page be dull and true than list logos we have not earned. A site whose whole claim is that its numbers are honest cannot start by overstating who it works with.

Where you will see this

A disclosure line appears in the footer of every page, and directly alongside price comparison tables. We would rather over-disclose than have you wonder.

Prices and accuracy

Prices are collected automatically, usually once a day. They can change at any time, and a price shown here may be out of date by the time you click. Where a price is more than two days old, we label it with when we last checked. Always confirm the final price on the retailer’s own page before buying. We are not responsible for pricing errors on third-party sites.
